Dr. Brianne Kartes is one of our talented physical therapists who works primarily with athletes and pelvic health dysfunction. She is originally from Riverdale, North Dakota, and completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of North Dakota, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
While attending UND for Athletic Training, Brianne gained experience working with athletes from a variety of sports, including: hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, track and field, cross country, swimming, golf, tennis, softball, dance, and cheerleading. Brianne enjoyed being a support system for the athletes from the moment of injury, throughout the whole injury process and eventual return to their sport.
In her physical therapy career, Brianne has found a passion in helping those who deal with pelvic pain, incontinence, pain with pregnancy, and many other pelvic floor related conditions. She teaches her patients that pain does not have to be the “normal,” and encourages them to reach out to her instead of living in constant pain. Brianne is also interested in pursuing further education in oncology, as this is an area close to her heart with her mother being a breast cancer survivor. Now, Brianne lives in Gillette with her husband Tyler, and their goldendoodle, Scout. She enjoys spending time outdoors, doing yoga, and finding new crafts or recipes on Pinterest to try.
